The process is straightforward and requires minimal effort from you. To get started, simply complete Ownwell’s free, three-minute online sign-up. After that, Ownwell will review your property’s current tax assessment for potential errors and exemptions. They’ll then compare your assessment with the relevant market data to see if you’ve been overassessed. If they find opportunities to reduce your tax bill, Ownwell will file an appeal on your behalf. In some cases, they might follow up with you depending on how the county tax assessor responds. Once the appeal process is complete, Ownwell will continue to monitor your property’s future assessments.

How Is My Savings Estimate Calculated?

The Ownwell's platform considers the average tax rate in your county and uses a comparative market analysis to provide an initial savings estimate. Your actual savings will vary based on your property's unique characteristics and other factors.
